Three dead in virginia beach shooting stemming from domestic incident

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – A late-night call to emergency services led to the discovery of three people with gunshot wounds, one of whom later died in the hospital.

At approximately 12:04 A.M. on September 10, Virginia Beach Police responded to a call for multiple gunshot victims on the 3700 block of Gateway Place. Upon arrival, officers found two adult males and one adult female suffering from gunshot injuries.

One male was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The other two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Virginia Beach Police Department’s Homicide Detectives determined the incident was the result of a tragic domestic situation. The male transported to the hospital is believed to have been the shooter.

Names of the deceased are being withheld at this time out of respect for the families.
