ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Three men were arrested within 15 minutes of an armed home invasion on Brooklyn Avenue, thanks to swift action by Atlantic City Police on December 16.

Officers responded to the chaotic scene at 6:02 p.m. and quickly apprehended the suspects. Witnesses identified Andrew James, 36, who was arrested by Officers La’Tray Butcher and Devin Verdell. Andrey Green, 34, was taken into custody by Captain Donnell Holland and Officer Thomas Egan. The third suspect, Rashad Lampkin, 35, attempted to hide beside a vehicle before leading Officer John Bell on a brief foot pursuit but was eventually apprehended.

A K9 team, including Officer Ryan Mullin and his partner, Rocko, assisted in the search and discovered a loaded handgun near the location where Lampkin was initially seen hiding.

Police say Lampkin confronted a victim outside the residence with a firearm, forcing his way inside when the door was unknowingly opened. He reportedly threatened occupants, including a teenager, and stole personal belongings, which were later found in his possession. Green and James are accused of assisting in the robbery.

The suspects face a range of charges, including robbery, burglary, conspiracy, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of hollow-point ammunition, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. All three were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
