Akron, OH– The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) has arrested Khairi Moorer, 23, Derek Edwards, 19, and Robert Davis, 19. The three were wanted by the Akron Police Department for aggravated murder.

Police initially responded to a single car crash on November 7 at the intersection of South Main Street and West Miller Avenue. Jamar E. Franklin, 29, was found within the vehicle with a gunshot wound and later died at the hospital. Investigations revealed Franklin was shot while in his vehicle at a parking lot on West Long Street.

Authorities issued warrants for Moorer, Edwards, and Davis following the incident. On Thursday, Khairi Moorer was arrested on Ido Ave., and the following morning, Derek Edwards and Robert Davis were apprehended on Kling St.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott commented that the arrests were due to the diligent work of the Akron Police Department. The collaboration between the task force and Akron Police facilitated the rapid detainment of these individuals.
