TOMS RIVER, N.J. – The final notes have been played on another summer concert season at the Toms River Senior Center.
Mayor Daniel T. Rodrick and the Senior Center hosted the final show of the township’s Summer Concert Series on Aug. 26, bringing residents together for an afternoon of live music, lunch and sweet treats.
Township officials said the closing concert drew an “incredible turnout” and thanked the residents, businesses and student volunteers who helped make the summer program a success.

The concerts gave local seniors a chance to get together throughout the summer without having to travel far from home.
Thursday’s finale included lunch from Rich’s BBQ and treats from Cloud Candy. Toms River high school students also spent part of their summer vacation volunteering at the event.
