TOMS RIVER, N.J. — James Warren, a student at Toms River High School North, will be recognized by the Toms River Township Council for his selection to perform in the prestigious Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Band.

Mayor Dan Rodrick announced that Warren will receive a proclamation during the next council meeting at Town Hall in honor of his achievement. “This is a very prestigious accomplishment, and we’re proud to have had James represent us on Thanksgiving morning on the national stage,” Rodrick said.

Warren earned his place in the nationally televised parade through a competitive audition process. The band brings together high school musicians from across the country and is a hallmark of the iconic parade, watched by millions annually.

In a statement shared on social media, the township congratulated Warren, saying, “Toms River is proud of you!”

The council will also recognize the Toms River High School North football team during the meeting for securing their third consecutive state championship title.

James Warren’s achievement shines a spotlight on Toms River as he joins the ranks of the nation’s top student musicians.
