TOMS RIVER, N.J. — If you’re looking for a great way to end the Fourth of July weekend, check out this free concert being hosted by Toms River Township. Enjoy a beachfront view of the fireworks shows on the barrier island while live music performs on stage.

Mayor Daniel Rodrick and the Toms River Recreation Department will kick off the township’s Sunday Summer Concert Series on Sunday, July 6, with a free performance by the Cigar Box Stompers at 7 p.m. at Shelter Cove Beach.

The event marks the first in a series of weekly summer concerts hosted by the township. Boaters are welcome to anchor in the Cove to enjoy the show from the water.

Parking will be available at Shelter Cove, with auxiliary parking and shuttle service provided from Toms River High School East. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, bring blankets or chairs, and enjoy the performance. Pets are not permitted on the beach during the event.

An ice cream truck and food truck will be on site for those wishing to purchase refreshments during the concert.
