HOWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ – Police in Howell are describing a crash that shut down Southard Avenue Thursday nigh as a “serious motor vehicle crash” and said the road will remain closed for an extended period of time.
The incident happened between 9-10 pm. At this time, police have not released any information regarding injuries or what caused the crash.
Police are asking commuters to avoid the area until after the investigation and cleanup are complete.
Southard Road is closed between Route 524a and Manassa Road as of 10:30 pm Thursday.
