Triple Shooting on 7th Street Turns Deadly in DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A deadly shooting late Monday night on 7th Street NW left one man dead and two others wounded, the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed.

Third District officers responded at approximately 10:28 p.m. to the 1200 block of 7th Street after reports of gunfire. They located an adult male victim, unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by DC Fire and EMS to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead after lifesaving measures failed.

At the scene, officers also found an adult woman and a juvenile male with gunshot wounds. Both were conscious and transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending confirmation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and notification of next of kin.

Public urged to share tips

Police are asking anyone with information to call (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411.

A reward of up to $25,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

The case remains under active investigation with no arrests reported.
