Northern Ocean County shelter makes urgent plea for dog rescues and fosters

OCEAN COUNTY, N.J. — The Friends of Northern Ocean County Animal Facility are pleading for help from 501(c)(3) rescues and dedicated fosters to give five adoptable dogs a second chance.

Among the dogs in need:

  • Thor, a 5-year-old Cur/Shar Pei mix, dog friendly, passed all assessments
  • Nymeria, a 4-year-old German Shepherd, dog friendly, passed all assessments
  • Kenny, an 18-month-old Labrador, dog friendly, needs food support
  • Luna, a 2-3-year-old Malinois, passed all assessments, recommended as the only pet
  • Raven, a 6-year-old pit mix, passed all assessments, should be an only pet

The group urges any rescue organizations with capacity, or fosters willing to help, to reach out by emailing kathleenfrett1@gmail.com.
