Two charged in deadly Maryland shooting

February 18, 2025

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — Two men have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man in District Heights earlier this month, Prince George’s County police announced.

Keyondre Joyner, 24, of Washington, D.C., and Jamiel Collins, 18, of Oxon Hill, face first-degree murder charges in the killing of Tyler Fludd of Hyattsville.

Officers responded to a reported shooting in the 5400 block of Silver Hill Road on Feb. 2 at approximately 5:20 p.m. and found Fludd outside with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he died a short time later.

Investigators determined that Collins and Fludd knew each other and that Joyner and Collins had planned to rob Fludd. Joyner shot Fludd during the robbery, police said.

Both suspects remain in custody at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.
