Utica Police Investigating Assault at Local Pub

UTICA, N.Y. — The Utica Police Department is investigating an assault that took place early Saturday morning at the “Green Onion” Pub on Genesee Street. The incident occurred on August 31, around 12:30 a.m., resulting in serious injuries to a patron.

The victim sustained a puncture wound to the right side of his face and multiple fractured ribs. The suspect is described as an unknown Black male.

The case has been assigned to the Utica Police Criminal Investigations Division, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are requesting anyone with information about the incident to contact the Utica Police Department at 315-223-3556.
