ABSECON, N.J. — A fatal pedestrian accident occurred early Sunday morning on U.S. Route 30 in Absecon, resulting in one death. The incident took place shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Absecon Boulevard, just west of the Delilah Road overpass.
Officers from the Absecon Police Department responded to the scene, where the pedestrian was pronounced dead. The driver involved in the crash remained on site and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The crash is under investigation by the Absecon Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit, in collaboration with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to come forward.
