STAFFORD, VA – A vandal targeted a Panera Bread location early Sunday morning, damaging outdoor property and leaving a mess behind before fleeing the scene.

Deputy H. H. Cassetta responded to the restaurant at 940 Wonder Road at 6:07 a.m. after employees discovered several plants destroyed and chairs thrown around the patio area. The damage is believed to have occurred during the overnight hours.

The incident remains under investigation. Surveillance footage is being reviewed.
