Vehicle Sought in Connection with Fatal Shooting in Southeast D.C.

Washington, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a vehicle involved in a homicide incident. This shooting happened at the 3200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Southeast D.C.

On February 6th, around 5:02 p.m., officers from the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Sixth District were dispatched to the scene following reports of a traffic collision. Upon their arrival, they found a man inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Rufus Brown, a 48-year-old man with no fixed address. Authorities have obtained surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle involved in the incident.
