Man dies after early morning shooting near Linden and North Avenue in Baltimore
BALTIMORE, MD – A man is dead following a pre-dawn shooting Saturday in Baltimore’s Western District after officers were alerted by a passerby to a wounded victim lying near the intersection of Linden Avenue and West North Avenue.
At approximately 4:48 a.m., a patrol officer was flagged down by a citizen reporting the incident. Upon arrival, officers found an unidentified adult male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Medics transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and no arrests have been made. The case has been turned over to homicide detectives, who are working to determine a motive and identify the shooter.
