Virginia Beach police seek suspect in assault on Newtown Road

Virginia Beach, VA – The Virginia Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an assault that occurred on January 20, 2026, in the 500 block of Newtown Road.

According to police, the incident began as a verbal dispute between the suspect and the victim. As the victim walked away, the suspect struck the victim several times before being pulled back by another man. Both individuals then walked toward the Baker and Lake Edward area.
