WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The Wall Township Police Department reported several incidents between August 20 and August 26, 2024.

On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Patrolman Tyler Martin arrested Shaft A. Page Jr., 21, of Keansburg, for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 138. Page was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law.

The following day, Wednesday, August 21, 2024, Patrolman Tyler Martin arrested Sergio A. Leyton-Bustos, 31, of Jackson, for driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on Route 138. He was processed and released under John’s Law. In another incident that same day, Patrolman Thomas Gavaghan arrested Jackelyn A. Aguidelo, 23, of Edison, for driving while intoxicated during a motor vehicle stop on Route 138. She was also processed and released according to John’s Law. Additionally, Patrolman John Kelly arrested Lucy J. Vedramis, 74, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for shoplifting following an investigation at ShopRite on Route 35. Vedramis was processed and released on a summons.

On Thursday, August 22, 2024, following a welfare check on a vehicle at 2150 State Route 35, Patrolman Hunter Manning arrested Peter Sanchez, 62, of Spring Lake Heights. Sanchez was processed and released following John’s Law.

On Friday, August 23, 2024, Patrolman James Yannazzone arrested Gustavo Olmedorendon, 38, of Long Branch, for driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on Asbury Road. Olmedorendon was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law.

The weekend saw multiple arrests related to driving while intoxicated. On Saturday, August 24, 2024, Patrolman James Yannazzone arrested Rufino Ponce-Velez, 42, of Toms River, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 34. He was processed and released under John’s Law. On the same day, Patrolman Megan Alexander arrested Brandon A. Torsiello, 24, of Hazlet, for driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle accident investigation on Brighton Avenue. Torsiello was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law. Also on Saturday, Patrolman Joseph Phillips arrested Jeffery D. Cook Jr., 37, of Colts Neck, for driving while intoxicated and eluding after a motor vehicle accident investigation on Belmar Blvd. Cook was processed and released following John’s Law.

On Sunday, August 26, 2024, Patrolman Daniel Grothues arrested Jeffery Hilario Tlapachito-Cuautl, 40, of Tinton Falls, for driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle accident investigation on Allenwood Road. He was processed and released under John’s Law. Additionally, Patrolman Ken Bala arrested Victor Tobon-Moreno, 36, of Tinton Falls, for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35. Tobon-Moreno was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law.
