Wanted: New York State Police manhunt for fugitive suspect in Philmont gang assault

PHILMONT, NY — The New York State Police are actively searching for 34-year-old William M. Metz of Claverack, NY, in connection with a violent gang assault that occurred in Philmont on January 10, 2025.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Metz, who faces charges of gang assault in the first degree, a class B felony, and assault in the second degree, a class D felony. Authorities are urging anyone with information on Metz’s whereabouts to contact Troop K at 845-677-7300.

The assault took place around 2:40 a.m. on Main Street, where Troopers from SP Livingston responded to reports of an attack. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim suffering from multiple injuries. The victim reported being assaulted by four individuals who fled the scene. He was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

The investigation quickly led to the arrests of three suspects on January 11, 2025:

  • Victoria F. Mannino, 51, of Germantown, NY, charged with gang assault in the first degree, robbery in the first degree, and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
  • Andrea R. Bogucki, 46, of Claverack, NY, charged with gang assault in the first degree, driving while ability impaired by drugs (DWAI), unlawfully fleeing a police officer in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
  • Natasha Montague, 41, of Catskill, NY, charged with gang assault in the first degree.

All three suspects were arraigned in Claverack Town Court and are currently being held at the Columbia County Jail.

State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the assault and are working to locate Metz as the final suspect in the case.
