Wildwood crest man charged with murder in 2024 millville park shooting

Kirk E. Williams, 30, of Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, has been charged with the murder of Teaoshia Still, 36, following her shooting death in a Millville park last November. The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office announced the charges Wednesday after a criminal complaint was filed on May 2.

Still was found deceased on November 9, 2024, with multiple gunshot wounds in City Park, Millville. A joint investigation by the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and Millville Police Department led to the filing of multiple charges against Williams, including purposeful and knowing murder, unlawful possession of a handgun, and tampering with evidence.

According to prosecutors, Still had gone to the park that evening to meet Williams, who was reportedly returning her personal belongings. Authorities allege that Williams fatally shot Still during the meeting and was later found to be in possession of some of her belongings.

A motion to detain Williams was filed by the Prosecutor’s Office ahead of a scheduled detention hearing on Monday, May 12, before Hon. Demetrica Todd, J.S.C., at 9:00 a.m.

Williams also faces charges for possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and for being a certain person not permitted to possess a weapon due to prior convictions.
