$1 million winning scratch-off sold at Rutter’s in York County

YORK COUNTY, PA — One lucky Pennsylvania Lottery player just became a millionaire after purchasing a winning $1 million scratch-off ticket in York County.

The winning ticket was sold at Rutter’s located at 1090 Old Trail Road in Newberry Township. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket, according to lottery officials.

The winning ticket came from the $20 game Millionaire Loading, which features top prizes of $1 million. Details on the winner’s identity have not been released, and the prize has yet to be officially claimed.

Players are reminded to sign the back of their winning tickets and contact the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481 to initiate the claims process. All Scratch-Off prizes must be claimed within one year of the game’s end-sale date, which is posted on the Lottery’s website.

Scratch-Offs are randomly distributed, and neither the Lottery nor retailers know where winning tickets will be sold until they are validated and claimed.
