Wilmington, DE — Delaware State Police have arrested Breana Brooks, 28, of Dover, Delaware, for stealing a Nissan from the parking lot of Delaware Park Casino on Friday afternoon.

On June 28, at approximately 5:58 p.m., a trooper responded to Delaware Park Casino at 777 Delaware Park Boulevard for a report of a stolen black Nissan Altima. The investigation revealed that an unknown female suspect had stolen the victim’s car keys from an unattended jacket at a slot game. The suspect then located the car in the parking lot and fled in the stolen vehicle.

Through investigative efforts, the trooper identified the suspect as Breana Brooks and obtained a warrant for her arrest. On June 29, Brooks was found in the stolen Nissan by the Dover Police Department. She was taken into custody and transported to Troop 3.

Brooks was charged with theft and related offenses. She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $2,000 secured bond.
