Woman Arrested in Fatal Southeast D.C. Stabbing

Washington, D.C.—A woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred on Saturday night, as reported by the D.C. Metro Police Department.

On Saturday, June 22, at 8:06 p.m., officers responded to an assault in the 3500 block of East Capitol Street, Southeast. Upon arrival, they found a man with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified as 31-year-old Dwayne Boyd, who had no fixed address.

On Sunday, June 23, 32-year-old Vanessa Bonaparte, also of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.

Detectives have determined that the offense was domestic in nature.
