Woman critically wounded in domestic shooting inside Germantown home

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A woman was hospitalized in critical condition Monday afternoon after being shot inside her Germantown residence.

The shooting occurred around 2:23 p.m. on the 100 block of East Walnut Lane.

Police said the 29-year-old victim was found inside her home suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medics transported her to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition.

Investigators have determined the motive to be domestic in nature, and a person of interest is currently in custody for questioning.
