BRONX, NY — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who allegedly assaulted a woman aboard a Bronx subway train late last month.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, inside a northbound 6 train as it approached the 3rd Avenue–138th Street Subway Station, within the 40th Precinct and Transit District 12.

According to the NYPD, a 32-year-old woman was approached by an unidentified individual who struck her in the face with a closed fist. The attacker then fled the scene on foot after the train stopped, escaping to parts unknown.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was listed in stable condition.

Police have released images of the individual wanted for questioning in connection with the assault. Those images are available through NYPD’s DCPI.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
