WASHINGTON, D.C. – A woman was shot early Monday inside a Northeast D.C. apartment complex, and police are searching for the suspect.
Officers responded around 12:30 a.m. to the 6800 block of Georgia Avenue for a reported shooting but did not find a victim at the scene.
During their investigation, police learned that the woman had gone to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
