Young Man Shot and Killed in District Heights

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. — Detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 21-year-old man on Saturday afternoon in the unincorporated section of District Heights.

The victim, identified as Jacquis Frye of Capitol Heights, was found in the roadway near Walker Mill Road and Karen Boulevard at approximately 4:20 p.m. Officers responding to reports of a shooting discovered Frye suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing. Authorities have not released any information about potential suspects or a motive at this time.

Police are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
