A 19-year-old man was rushed to a hospital after multiple reports of shots fired brought officers to the scene late Friday night
BALTIMORE, Md. — A burst of gunfire in downtown Baltimore left a 19-year-old man wounded Friday night as detectives worked to determine who opened fire and why.
Baltimore Police said Central District officers responded at approximately 11:27 p.m. to the 300 block of South Central Avenue after receiving multiple calls reporting gunfire.
When officers arrived, they located a 19-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police said the man’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Investigators have not released information about a suspect or what may have led to the shooting.
Central District detectives are continuing to investigate.
