$1.5M winning scratch off ticket sold in Montgomery County

A Pennsylvania Lottery player is holding a ticket worth $1.5 million after a winning scratch-off was sold at a Montgomery County store.

EAST NORRITON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery Cash Spectacular scratch-off ticket worth $1.5 million was sold at a Montgomery County retailer, lottery officials announced.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hillcrest Tobacco and Dollar Store, located at 120 West Germantown Pike in East Norriton Township.

The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the top-prize-winning ticket.

Cash Spectacular is a $30 scratch-off game that offers top prizes of $1.5 million.

Lottery officials reminded players to immediately sign the back of winning tickets and contact the Pennsylvania Lottery for instructions on claiming prizes.

Scratch-off tickets are distributed randomly, meaning neither the Pennsylvania Lottery nor its retailers know where winning tickets will be sold until a prize is claimed.

Lottery prizes exceeding $5,000 are subject to applicable state and federal withholding.
