A juvenile suspect was taken into custody after officers located a vehicle connected to a carjacking that occurred earlier the same day on York Road, police said.
A 15-year-old male has been charged in connection with a carjacking in North Baltimore after officers located the stolen vehicle Tuesday morning, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
The arrest stems from a carjacking reported earlier in the day in the 5300 block of York Road. Police said officers later found the vehicle on Violet Avenue at approximately 11:45 a.m.

Investigators said officers identified and located the vehicle connected to the carjacking during their search. The driver, identified only as a 15-year-old male, was taken into custody at the scene.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances of the carjacking or whether anyone was injured during the incident.
Juvenile charged in case
Following the arrest, the juvenile suspect was transported to Juvenile Booking, where he was formally charged, according to police.
In a statement, the Baltimore Police Department said, “Officers located the vehicle on Violet Avenue and the driver, a 15-year-old male, was arrested.”
Police added that the suspect “was transported to Juvenile Booking, where he was charged.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
