NEW YORK — A 17-year-old male was assaulted on Wednesday afternoon in Manhattan, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. in front of 60 Center Drive when the victim, riding his bike, became involved in a dispute with an unknown male on a Citibike.

The suspect reportedly pushed the victim off his bike and sprayed him in the face with an unidentified chemical agent, causing pain and discomfort, according to authorities.

The suspect fled north on East Drive, and the victim was treated at the scene for his injuries.

The individual being sought is described as a male with a light complexion, slim build, and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, black sneakers, and carrying a black backpack.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact authorities as the investigation continues.
