18-Year-Old Man Hospitalized After Stabbing in West Philadelphia Domestic Dispute

Philadelphia police say an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the leg during an apparent domestic dispute Tuesday afternoon, and detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the assault.

Philadelphia, PA – An 18-year-old man was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after he was stabbed during what investigators believe was a domestic dispute in West Philadelphia.

Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department responded at approximately 3:11 p.m. to the 1200 block of North Frazier Street in the city’s 19th District following reports of an assault.

Victim taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old Black man suffering from a single stab wound to his left thigh.

Medics transported the victim to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for treatment. Police did not immediately release information on his condition.

Detectives continue investigation

Preliminary investigators believe the stabbing stemmed from a domestic dispute, though authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the incident.

The investigation remains active and ongoing by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Southwest Detectives. No arrests have been announced.
