KERN COUNTY, CA – A collaborative rescue effort between Kern County Animal Services (KCAS) and Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) successfully saved a cat that had been stranded atop a utility pole for several days. The incident occurred in Kern County, where the cat was discovered 50 feet above the ground.
An animal control officer, responding to reports of the stranded cat, enlisted the help of PG&E. The utility company dispatched a crew who utilized a ladder to safely reach and rescue the cat from its perilous position.
KCAS shared their relief on Facebook, noting the cat’s calm and friendly nature greatly aided the rescue operation. The rescued cat, affectionately named Electra by the shelter staff, will be available for adoption this Saturday.
