Biden Misgenders Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle Amid Ongoing Controversy
Washington, D.C. – President Joe Biden’s mental decline was on display again after misgendering the current Director of the U.S. Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, during an interview with Lester Holt.
In response to a question about whether he had heard from the Secret Service Director regarding a recent security incident, Biden replied, “Oh, I’ve heard from him,” incorrectly referring to Cheatle as a man.
Kimberly A. Cheatle has served as the 27th Director of the U.S. Secret Service since September 17, 2022.
With a career spanning over 25 years in the agency, Cheatle has held numerous key positions, including the Assistant Director of Protective Operations, where she managed a substantial budget and coordinated protection for high-profile individuals and events. Before her current role, she was the Senior Director of Global Security at PepsiCo, where she implemented security protocols for the company’s facilities in North America.
Now, millions of Americans and the Republican party is calling for her resignation in light of the failed assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald J. Trump.
Cheatle’s tenure has not been without challenges. She took over the Secret Service during a period of intense scrutiny following the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. The agency faced controversies related to missing text messages from that day, leading to public and political pressure.
More recently, Cheatle has been embroiled in debates concerning the Secret Service’s response to an attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. Cheatle admitted the agency’s failure in preventing the incident but has maintained that she will not resign from her position.
