Wilkes-Barre Police Investigate Assault on South Franklin Street

Wilkes-Barre, PA — On August 3, at 4:26 p.m., Wilkes-Barre City Police responded to an assault report at a residence on South Franklin Street. The victim, a 41-year-old female, reported that she was physically assaulted by a male known to her only as “Kelly.”

The victim stated that the altercation began as a verbal dispute before escalating to physical violence. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
