WASHINGTON, D.C. — A shooting in Southeast D.C. on Tuesday morning resulted in the theft of a vehicle, and police are asking for the public’s help in locating it.
Around 11:11 a.m., suspects approached a victim in the 3100 block of Naylor Road, Southeast, where one suspect fired a handgun, injuring the victim. The suspects then stole a 2020 blue Honda Civic with Maryland plates 2EK8713 from a second victim before fleeing the scene. The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The stolen vehicle was captured on surveillance cameras.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
