DC Police issued an early-morning lookout for a woman with dreadlocks following the stabbing
WASHINGTON, DC – A stabbing on Franklin Street in Northeast DC sent police searching for a woman dressed entirely in dark clothing early Monday, with officers warning the public not to approach her.
The Metropolitan Police Department issued a crime alert at approximately 1:44 a.m. for the stabbing in the 2800 block of Franklin Street NE.
Police described the person they were seeking as a Black female with dreadlocks.
She was reportedly wearing all dark clothing and a black skull cap.
The initial police alert did not provide information about the victim, including the person’s age, gender or condition.
Police also did not disclose what led to the stabbing, whether a weapon was recovered or whether the victim and person sought knew each other.
No arrest was announced in the initial alert.
Police warned anyone who sees the woman not to approach her and to call 911.
