Off-Duty NYPD Traffic Agent Arrested in Queens on Weapons Charges

QUEENS, N.Y. — An off-duty New York City traffic agent was arrested late Sunday in Queens, according to police reports. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Shikandar Hoque, was taken into custody at 10:19 p.m. within the confines of the 102nd Precinct.

Hoque, an NYPD traffic agent, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and menacing in the third degree. Details regarding the circumstances of the arrest were not immediately available.

The 102nd Precinct, located in central Queens, covers neighborhoods such as Richmond Hill, Kew Gardens, and Woodhaven. No further information has been provided by authorities at this time.
