ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A series of incidents, ranging from theft to assault, were reported across Annapolis this week, with investigations underway in several cases.
On Thursday, a resident of the 300 block of Windell Ave reported that her rear license plate was stolen from her gray 2011 Nissan Altima, which bears Maryland tag number 5EH9652. The theft occurred sometime between the morning of September 11 and September 12, and the tag has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.
Also on Thursday, police responded to a domestic assault in the 100 block of Brightwater Dr. involving a fight between a mother and her juvenile daughter. The daughter physically assaulted her mother during an argument over a cell phone. Both parties sustained injuries, with the juvenile reporting head and arm pain.
In another incident on Thursday, a theft from a vehicle was reported at Bayside Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep on West St. The complainant stated that a temporary registration tag, which should have been disposed of in May, is being used to accumulate toll fees. The tag, T1807493, was entered into NCIC, and the suspect, a former employee, is believed to be using a 2020 Jeep Cherokee.
On Wednesday, police responded to a shoplifting incident at Office Depot on Solomons Island Rd. A female suspect was observed stealing an Epson Expression 6100 printer, valued at $180. The manager was able to provide the suspect’s vehicle tag, leading to the identification of the individual. Charges are pending.
Additionally, on Wednesday, officers were called to Mary Moss at J. Albert Adams Academy on Clay St. after a 16-year-old student pushed the school principal. The juvenile was arrested for assault and released to a guardian following the incident.
Authorities continue to investigate these cases, and any relevant information has been entered into law enforcement databases.
