Warrant Arrest Leads to Detention of Wilkes-Barre Ma

WILKES-BARRE, PA – Authorities in Wilkes-Barre took a local man into custody early Friday morning following a routine traffic stop that revealed an outstanding warrant.

At approximately 12:49 AM on Friday, officers executed a traffic stop near South Main Street and Public Square. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Renard Johnson, 61, from Wilkes-Barre, was found to have an active arrest warrant.

The warrant for Johnson had been issued by the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Office. Following protocol, the officers detained Johnson on the spot.

Johnson was subsequently transported to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility (LCCF) for processing.
