BRONX, N.Y. — Two individuals have been indicted on murder and related charges for the killing and dismemberment of a man, whose torso was transported on a Metro North train to Yonkers and set on fire, according to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced the indictment on Thursday, stating that Muhammad Aadil, 40, and Ronei Harris, 18, are accused of murdering Lutalo Henderson, 46, after a dispute in late July. “The defendants allegedly killed and mutilated a man, and then took some remains, in a shopping cart, on a Metro North train to Yonkers where they burned the cart. This was brutal disregard for a human being,” Clark said.

Aadil, of Gerard Avenue, was arraigned on September 23, 2024, on second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and other charges, including possession of a firearm and controlled substances. He is being held without bail and is expected to return to court on December 19. Harris, of Kelly Street, will be arraigned at a later date.

According to investigators, the killing took place between July 27 and August 5 in the Bronx apartment shared by Aadil and Henderson. The defendants allegedly dismembered Henderson, removing his legs, hands, and jaw, before wrapping the torso in trash bags. They then used a shopping cart to transport the remains on a Metro North train to Yonkers, where they set the cart ablaze under the Oak Street Bridge.

Police later discovered Henderson’s body parts in an apartment on Rogers Place in the Bronx. The investigation is ongoing.
