Suspect arrested in Blue Hill Avenue stabbing

BOSTON, Mass. — A 73-year-old Cambridge man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that took place Tuesday evening on Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester, according to the Boston Police Department.

Officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call around 7:34 p.m. on October 1, 2024, and found a 57-year-old man suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds at 895 Blue Hill Ave. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Later that night, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Christopher Tennin, 73, turned himself in at District B-3 in connection with the stabbing. He was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on the charge of aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife).
