October 4, 2024

STAFFORD, Va. – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on Warrenton Road, in which a vehicle was struck by gunfire.

Deputies responded to the area of Warrenton Road and Village Parkway around 12:13 a.m. on July 21 after a driver reported that their vehicle had been shot. The victim was not injured in the incident, according to authorities.

The victim recounted merging into the left lane near Plantation Drive and Village Parkway, causing a motorcyclist to swerve onto the shoulder. At a subsequent red light, the motorcyclist approached the victim’s car, but before an altercation occurred, the light turned green and the victim drove away. Shortly afterward, the victim heard two gunshots. Upon arriving home, the victim discovered two bullet holes in the vehicle.

Detectives are investigating the incident and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the motorcyclist, who was described as wearing a black and white motorcycle jacket and a white helmet, and riding a sports bike. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective K.A. Lawrence at 540-658-4450.
