STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A 40-year-old man is facing multiple charges after leading Stafford County deputies on a high-speed pursuit that spanned two counties and ended with his arrest by Marine Corps police at Quantico.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office said the incident began on November 30 around 10:20 p.m., when a deputy spotted a stolen Ford on Richmond Highway near the I-95 North ramp. The driver ignored a traffic stop, made a U-turn, and sped off, swerving across lanes and passing vehicles illegally.

The pursuit continued into Prince William County, where deputies forced the Ford off the road and into a guardrail. The suspect fled on foot but was later spotted jumping a fence onto the Quantico Marine Corps Base.

Marine Corps police apprehended the suspect, identified as Richard Wolfe, on December 1. Deputies learned he was wanted for two probation violations and charged him with possession of stolen property, felony eluding, driving while revoked, and providing false identification to law enforcement.

Wolfe is currently held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail, with additional charges pending from Prince William County.
