New Jesey cop helps reunite missing child with family in Evesham Township

An Evesham Township officer is credited with ensuring a young girl’s safe return home after she wandered away.

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A juvenile girl who was found walking in the roadway near Route 73 and Greentree Road on Tuesday was safely reunited with her family, thanks to the swift actions of an Evesham Township police officer.

The incident occurred on December 3 when officers were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of a child walking alone in traffic. Officer Addezio responded to the scene and was able to quickly locate and assist the girl, who had walked away from her home.

According to police, Officer Addezio ensured the child’s safety and facilitated her return to her family. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

The family later met with Officer Addezio to express their gratitude for his efforts in reuniting them with their daughter. The department shared the story on social media, praising the officer’s actions.

The Evesham Township Police Department continues to remind the community of its commitment to public safety and assistance.
