29-year-old man fatally shot in Oxon Hill

OXON HILL, MD — Prince George’s County Police are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 29-year-old Temple Hills man early Friday morning.

The victim, identified as Harvey Jones Jr., was found suffering from gunshot wounds outside a location in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road at approximately 12:30 a.m. Responding officers transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives with the Homicide Unit are working to determine a motive and identify the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting.

The Prince George’s County Police Department has announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
