USPS worker robbed at gunpoint in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A U.S. Postal Service worker was robbed while delivering mail at an apartment complex in Woodbridge on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

Officers responded at 4:03 p.m. to the Orchard Mills Apartments in the 3200 block of Blazer Loop after receiving a report of the incident. According to the investigation, an unidentified man approached the mail carrier, implied he had a weapon, and took a keychain before fleeing the area.

The postal worker was not injured and left the scene before contacting the police.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall, in his 30s, with a full beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing all black clothing.

Police are continuing to investigate and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
