Jury convicted defendant of rape, incest and other offenses
QUEENS, N.Y. — A Queens Village man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of repeatedly sexually abusing his daughter over several years, according to the Queens District Attorney’s Office.
The 60-year-old defendant was sentenced July 29 after a jury convicted him on June 29 of first-degree rape, first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child and first-degree incest following a six-day trial.

According to prosecutors, the abuse began in 2021 during school break visits when the victim was 10 years old.
The District Attorney’s Office said the abuse became more frequent after the defendant became the child’s custodial parent in July 2023.
The victim disclosed the abuse to a family member in May 2024, leading to the defendant’s arrest.
“This defendant violated the most fundamental duty a parent can hold by inflicting harm on his young daughter,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement. “It is because the incredibly courageous survivor came forward that the defendant has now been held accountable for his reprehensible behavior.”
In addition to the prison sentence, the court ordered 20 years of post-release supervision. The defendant will also be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.
