Quick Police Response Leads to Arrest in Northeast D.C. Robbery

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A robbery suspect was arrested in Northeast D.C. on Sunday afternoon after two victims flagged down officers shortly after the crime occurred.

The incident took place around 2:45 p.m. on February 2 in the 3800 block of 12th Street, Northeast. The suspect had successfully stolen property from one of the victims before fleeing the scene.

Officers canvassed the area and quickly located the suspect, leading to his arrest without further incident.

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Antwan Beal-Steward, who has no fixed address, has been charged with robbery fear and attempted robbery fear.

The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
