ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — A 61-year-old Englewood man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and multiple weapon offenses after allegedly firing a gun inside a residence, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced Friday.

Police responded to a private home on Knickerbocker Road at approximately 1:28 p.m. on January 31 following reports of an armed disturbance. Investigators determined that Tyrone A. Prioleau discharged a firearm inside the residence, firing in the direction of two individuals before fleeing the scene. Neither victim was struck, and no injuries were reported.

A joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Englewood Police Department led to Prioleau’s arrest later that day. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree certain persons not to possess a firearm, two counts of fourth-degree aggravated assault, and fourth-degree obstruction.

Prioleau remains in custody as authorities continue their investigation into the incident.
