JACKSON, NJ — One of the longest-standing residents at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility is still searching for a permanent home. Pebbles, a three-year-old brindle pit mix, has been patiently waiting for a family to call her own.
The affectionate, pint-sized pup arrived at the shelter as a stray. Staff describe her as extremely loving, playful, and people-focused. She’s spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and has passed all behavioral assessments.
Pebbles does need to be the only pet in the home but has shown no issues with resource guarding. Shelter staff say her tail never stops wagging and that she bonds quickly with people.
Pitties and Pals Rescue is standing by to assist with fostering or foster-to-adopt placement. Pebbles is available for adoption at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Avenue, Jackson, open daily from 1 to 4 p.m.
